It hasn’t come as a major shock that Helvetic Airways will not be returning to Cardiff Airport for Summer 2013 although we had been made aware of negotiations ongoing. We are pleased to hear that a return in 2014 hasn’t been ruled out yet.
Also the article has also failed to mention many other capacity increases by airlines and operators this Summer which should boost the passenger numbers into positive numbers for 2013 as a whole.
Thomson, Thomas Cook, Air Malta, Vueling, Flybe, Aer Lingus & Atlantic Holidays have added additional capacity at Cardiff Airport for Summer 2013 compared to the previous year. Meanwhile Lufthansa, Prima Reisen, Newmarket Holidays & Vueling have all added new destinations this year from Cardiff Airport.
