The aircraft pitched up to 26 degrees and the speed reduced to 130 knots going from 1600 feet per minute descent to 3300' feet per minute climb with the speedbrakes out? Thrust was then reduced to idle. I think an interesting point is that apparently experienced Airbus pilots can get so seriously out of the loop.
