The Role
Being a professional engineer is about using your mind as well as getting your hands dirty. The Professional Engineers Programme has been created for technically minded, motivated individuals who might otherwise consider University. It will provide the skills to work on aircraft possessing the most modern technology. Over a period of four years trainees will combine working with the latest generation of commercial aircraft with studies for a Higher National Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering and JAR66, Aircraft Maintenance Engineers Licence - a qualification recognized throughout Europe. The opportunity to study for a BEng Degree in Air Transport Engineering is also available for those with the potential and motivation, who can show that they will apply the qualification to add real value to our business.


You as a person:
As well as academic and practical skills you will need a range of personal strengths and aptitudes too. Throughout the Programme you will need to manage a complex and varied workload. You will need the flexibility and tenacity to work with people from a variety of backgrounds and with a wide range of skill levels; and you will need to accomplish all this and more while possibly living away from home.
To apply you must be aged between 18 - 24 years old by 1st September 2003.
Have the right to live and work in the UK without restriction.
Have GCSE or equivalent at Grade C in English and Maths.

Education:
To apply you must have, or be expecting to gain, a minimum Grade C at A level or equivalent in Maths and Physics or a related science subject (or equivalent – GNVQ Advanced Distinction in Science or Technology).

Experience Required:
No particular experience, but candidates must be able to demonstrate a keen interest in pursuing an engineering career within the Airline Industry.
