Makes a change from 10 years ago when the Staish at Lossie was so disgusted by the poor fitness on stn that he sent an e-mail to all addressees telling them to try harder! It went something like:
"When I did my RAFFT earlier today I was shocked and extremely disappointed that, by level 8 (approx - can't quite remember!), the only people still running were me (aged 42) and the PEdO (51). Over half those taking the test failed, and the others made it to the minimum level required to pass before stopping. I am appalled at the attitude towards fitness and preparation for ops blah blah blah" etc etc, and finished with direction to the execs to cancel leave until fitness improved or some such bolleaux.
A clear indication that the RAF is much better in 2013 than ever before...
