Recently I started toying with an idea of a career at sea (I'm a vagabond by nature. any 9-5 job would kill me quickly and idea of coming back home everyday for the rest of my life fills me with dread
).
Anyone can tell me the state of shipping industry nowadays? How long would it take for an airline captain to convert into a ship captain? (or an officer?)
Hope at least some of the skills would be transferable?
