Getting a work permit isn't really an issue, unless you work for Flightlink. Heard their office was raided by immigration last week.
Like an eighteen-year old kid that spends his every last penny on a used BMW, Flightlink recently acquired a used Citation 5. Ideally, there will never be any snags, as there is no qualified engineer employed to fix them, nor is there any money left to buy any replacement parts. Something as simple as a flat tire will ground this airplane indefinitely. To top it off, it is to be operated by a barely qualified flight crew. Apparently, crewing a Junior Captain with a Junior FO is a non-issue at Flightlink. The blind leading the blind, transporting VIP execs... This approach to running a corporate aircraft really is frightful.
It's just a matter of time til Cpt. Manure's investors find out how much of a shyster he really is. This guy has NO integrity. So fresh CPLers, beware, he'll get your hopes up and shatter your dreams. If you've got 208 time, ask for $4000/month, and upfront one month - you never know if Management decides they don't need you or find an excuse not to pay you. If you're an AME, look elsewhere, they view maintenance as an unnecessary business expense... afterall, it is cheaper to use an unlicensed mechanic and pay off the CAA.
PS. If you are planning on booking their Citation 5 to take you on an international flight over open water, make sure you bring your own life raft as you will only be provided with a life jacket. (just in case, you never know)
