GREEN were still open as RAF stations with airfields...those in
RED still going under Army/Marines management...and ones in
ORANGE in civvy management as active airfields...

At the end of the day, nothing lasts forever and at least 2/3rds are still doing something useful. So it's far better than it could have been (IMHO).
