Rather than opening a new tread I would jump on this wagon to ask for advice...
I am about to relocate in the Oxfordshire and I would like to put my MEP/SPA-IR back on tracks. Sadly I haven't flown pistons (either SE or ME) for ages so, courtesy of the new EASA nonsense, I am expecting a big dent in my finances!
My understanding of the new rules is that, unless your rating is recently expired (not my case) you are at the mercy of the ATO's HoT which shall evaluate your performances and put together a refresh-training before you can be tested. I have 1000+ hours on SPA/ME turbo-prop but it had to be flown 2-crew, I still hope that counts!
Now my question: can anyone suggest a number of airfields and ATOs to pay a visit and enquire about all the above? Any input will be very appreciated!
