Forget about calls for ILSs everywhere, it just is not going the happen
Last two times I flew into KJFK I did the VOR DME 22L with a visual side step to 22R and a Canarsie VOR for 13L. Both in average vis, at night, one in rain and the other in snow showers.
Australia isn't that bad by comparison.
