B.A. recommencing training/recruitment

Bit of info for all those wanting join me and the rest of us in silver pinstripe.

The word as I have it from the horse's mouth as of today is this:

B.A., if all goes to plan and wars don't affect us too badly etc etc will be recommencing training for cabin crew at EF LGW (of those already past interview stage and in the pool waiting for a training course I guess) around May/June time. I would guess that also possibly means recruitment will recommence at some stage as well.

HOWEVER!! The future of recruitment at B.A. as I have said in previous posts, is going to be this:

All future recruitment for cabin crew entering mainline B.A. will be through Eurofleet Gatwick. There will no longer be direct entry recruitment into Eurofleet Heathrow, Longhaul Heathrow or Gatwick (Which most believe will not be with us for much longer anyway and is a shrinking fleet). Recruitment for other bases will be as normal.

EF LGW will feed EF LHR and this will in turn feed LH LHR. This means all those hoping to get to the holy grail of flying the big jets to the prestige routes out of LHR and earning the top cash are in for at least an 8yr wait as transfer lists on the affore mentioned fleets stand at the moment, maybe more!! I hasten to add this is the transfer system as it stands at the moment, and no signs of it changing for a good while yet.

This does however give those of us already in the company a fairer chance to get to the fleets they want to be on quicker and should increase morale as it is fairer, especially for those already employed at EF LGW and have been waiting their turn for transfer to EF LHR for years.

Hope this gives some of you some hope if your wanting to join, but as I have said if long haul is what you want then you've got a long wait ahead of you.
