RRAAMJET

You may wish to know that several of my relatives died in battles that were re-written by the Americans (not the capital A) when Hollywood decided that too many other countries were involved in defeating various tyrants. I think I'm qualified to be p****d off that their memory is sullied in order to make the Americans look good.

I have not forgotten the Eagle squadrons who did a great job but the Americans (as a nation) only came into the war when someone had a go at them directly. They did not seem to want to come in before, leaving us to do the job in Europe and elsewhere with what was left of our depleted, under equipped forces and any we could pull in from the colonies.

My great uncle died on the beach on D-day - but if you believe Hollywood he was never even there. Who needs to do the research? Not me.

And lighten up anyway - I thought this was meant to be a humourous thread.
