As Goodyear produced over 5,000 Corsairs under contract from Vought, I wonder if the GA-16 wasn't inspired in whole or in part by Vought designers. I'm not discounting the creative ability of Goodyear's own engineers, but I believe there was probably some influence from Vought in this design. Vought produced some real post-war stinkers, like the Pirate and Cutlass. The GA-16 at least looks like it would perform more than adequately.
