Very strange, Mike. It's as though I've got a phone from a different planet. Four squares, yes, but it's not home. And no sign of a six square waffle or a file manager whatsoever.
I tried three different freebie file apps - they all load okay and then say, sorry, it's stopped working - which is what happened to the voice recorder apart from the useless one.
I haven't used the phone on the wi-fi until this session of messing with it, so I haven't missed much. But I don't understand why I haven't got anything as basic as a file management system. Heck, I was one of the promoters of X-Tree, in the early 80s so I wondered how something could have an OS and no means of driving it.
It's piqued my interest, but the book is taking 6 hours a day and playtime has to be fitted in.
If I search APPs in the System menu, I see a few apps - far more than listed on my apps popup screen - and most of which I don't want.
There are 40 apps on the pop up. Two or three of which I've used over the years.
The two things that I've successfully downloaded, I'm given the option of deleting, but on the others it only shows kb used etc. No control involved apart from clearing caches etc.
Oh, gawsh, it's 3:20 and it was only 2:20 when I started playing. It's still beside me asking to be picked up again.
