I made one missed approach .. 5 Nov 95 ? I think .. guy fawkes day when a a55hole decided it is much more fun shooting 1000 vt flares on the aircaft on finals than suiping with his buddies ...
Otherwise I was always on low fuel .. you can work out a Citation II SP from Thohyandou to CT .. bru it is touch and go ...no time for bad weather / stuffing up a circiut. I used to make my calculation and possible diverts to LBWG or George crossing the VAAL

I can Imagine it saving your bacon if you get a 30 kt cross wind .. not a nice feeling. But I think these guys are just talking about a parralel runway ?
