Sorry for being cyncial guys....but photo ID or no photo ID, it's all about your "state of mind". After all, that Fedex F/O who slammed hammers into his colleagues head whilst flying would have had photo ID.....how could anyone of known what he was going to do?
So how do you know if someones go throw a wobbly? There's no way of telling. May be an appointment with a Shrink on medical renewals will become mandatory !!!!
Furthermore, and at the end of the day, if security was as tight as it should be, you shouldn't be able to get Airside at any UK licenced airfield. But then it's not a perfect world......Or have I just been dreaming. However to be fair, it's not a bad idea, it's just a matter of how it would be "Policed"
