Also, worthy of mention, is that you get certain tax benefits for living in "Remote Areas" in the NT, unless things have changed in the year or so since I left even Darwin gets you a few hundred dollars worth of Tax Returned straight away at the end of the year. In the most remote areas you got up to $1400 which is a tidy little bonus come tax time... Bought me my Lightspeed Zulu2s one year and a chunk off my credit card the next!!
