Yes Im sure Thomson are dissapointed and frustrated with the possible delays, as they have an upcoming programme of flying which was specifically marketed as '787 holidays'. if Thomson can use their own 763s that maybe the best option but Im just a little concerend if they used other airlines even older 763s, or even 762s, I do recall Thomson even in very recent years, using Portugese and Icelandic airlines using 743s and even not so long ago L1011s, I think Thomson ought to think carefully that many of the holidaymakers booked on the initial 787 holidays may have been influenced in their choice of holiday and holiday company by the chance to fly on the new 787 so the least they should do is try to ensure, if possible, that any substitute aircraft is a newer build aircraft. Certainly the 757 would be a last resort I would imagine for Thomson.
