What ever happened to the 5th LHR which was to compensate for the loss of Aerlingus' Gatwick service this summer. No growth from Aerlingus since 2006. I'm not a great fan of Ryanair but they have gone from 3 to 23 destinations from Cork since the recession began and are paying full charges on most of them.
I know they've muscled in on some existing routes but who else would have started Fuerteventura, Pisa, Betgamo, La Rochelle, Bordeaux and Carcassone from Cork?
