Hello,
For those of you who are interested in doing their PPL (Private Pilot Licence / Licence de Pilote Privé d'Avion) in Brussels, be careful, avoid
Eagle Flight School - Bruxelles. This is a complete scam.
They pretend to be a Registered Facility (RF) based in Brussels and Antwerp (Bruxelles / Anvers - Belgique). They even publish a certificate on their website. However that certificate is not valid anymore ! Call the belgian CAA (
DGTA) to find out the truth.
You will find here (website of the DGTA) an exhaustive list of all RF's in Belgium:
https://www.mobilit.fgov.be/static/data/aero/RF/RF.pdf
Eagle Flight School is not on the list !
I have also been in touch with a former instructor of Eagle Flight School and he told me that the school doesn't allways pay its bills to the suppliers nor the salary of its instructors. The director finds every day new excuses to justify that this month one of his workers does not deserve his salary. Or this month, such supplier won't be paid because he made a mistake.
Also, because of money problems and bad management practices, their only airplane has been seized even before its first flight with the school. You can contact
Antwerp (Deurne) Airport (where the school is supposedly based for the flight training) to enquire and you will discover that nobody knows Eagle Flight School there.
Don't go there, unless you wanna loose your money.
Cheers.
