If flying a gyroplane with an open cockpit is anything like longlining with the door off in sub freezing temperatures, than yep, your eyes can freeze...just like your runny nose stuff freezes to your face and helmet and wherever else the wind blows it... Those goggles that the open cockpit airplane pilots wore was for more than just keeping the oil out of their eyes.
