EC 120

So a bit more investigation has revealed that in 2008 at 1045 hours the engine was inspected or repaired as the calender life was reset to 2023. But the hours were not reset i.e currently the logs are showing only 1605 hours remaining to Overhaul. This puts the engine at a TBO of 2800 hours.
Is this because this was one of the earlier EC 120s..? Arrius 2Fs..? And can anyone advise / comment if they have come across this scenario with an older EC 120..?
From the info, do you think the engine just had an inspection or an actual overhaul..?
The machine had its 12 year in 2011
