I am indeed a BALPA member (not VAA though) and have been so for over 30 years. I did indeed read the report(s) and I cannot agree with the assertion that the GS called off the strike all by himself.
Good luck to those of you who are about to join a union with no offices, outsourced admin staff and run by anti BALPA pilots.
May I suggest that all VAA pilots leave BALPA immediately, join this new "union" and engage in your first skirmish with your bosses - that should focus pilots' minds on the merits of the PPU.
