I heard they paid something like USD $30,000 for a 737 type rating, line training and a job.
It has gone worse now. Someone agent asked close to $50,000 for A320 jobs for freshly rated newbies! N-U-T-S!
Allegedly, Lion Air's CEO is not happy with them after it was discovered that several (now unemployed) very senior pilots was close to making 1/2 million USD each out of the P2F.
I wonder if the situation in Malaysia is as bad as the above.
