The manager of the recruitment has confirmed the easing of the requirements for NTSO. He said: "To be honest, there is NO need for SO's (FT/NT) in the next financial year. All the So's needed are drawn from the Qatar Aviation College. This may change of course, but this is the most likely scenario. There might be a requirement for some FTSO's in November next year, on a merit base."
To be short, SO's try this year with another airline and join Qatar as a FO or Captain. Your courage for waiting may not be rewarded.
