A bit of friendly perspective, You have no automatic right to an interview no matter how many letters you have after your name. Having a degree(s) doesn't mean your are cut out to fly, nor does it mean you fit the right candidate profile of a Cathay pilot (its their company, they can pick and choose whoever they see is fit)
People being rejected before being called to an interview happens
all the time in this industry and others. You just have to accept it and move on I'm afraid.
Cathay has deemed that you are not the right fit for them. It could be for anything, even possibly you are over qualified. But what ever the reason, this opportunity was clearly not for you.
Try someone else or another route.
