QF Snake on Wing : Checks : Navel Gazing
A recent flight from Cairns in North Queensland to Port Moresby in PNG had a python caught in the innards of the wing. Excuse my ignorance of aeronautical engineering. My total knowledge of aviation extends to knowing that the safest seat is that closest to an exit or in the back 3 rows. Should this not have been noticed in pre-flight checks? I do see important looking folk dressed like naval officers walking around planes on which I am a passenger looking at the innards of bits. Are they the flight crew?
