I have apply for DEC at EK, but seems that is going to slow
It's not going slow... If you are
suitable and they want you, they will offer you a position as a DEC and you will wait for a start date which will come soon enough.
If that doesn't work out join as a FO and your command experience and command qualities will be advantageous if the supply of suitable FO command candidates runs out. You may then find yourself being fast-tracked.
The hours requirements stated for DEC are simply a minimum
eligibility and do not guarantee an interview.
