Was Galway effected by the ending of PSO obligations? Is this the reason it closed to scheduled pax flights?
Both Sligo and Galway were very dependent on PSO funding but a study conducted in 2011 about regional airports also found Galway and Sligo were not viable which is why the Gov stooped operational funding in 2011 cuts in transport also were a factor.
