Furthermore it would more than likely be a web check in pax who would be offloaded. If it gets very close to departure time , they have no bags in the hold and there's no sign at the gate then there's a bigger chance of them not showing up. If you however tutn up and check in at the airport then the chances are you want to fly. So they're less likely to offload you. I'm sorry A and C but the more I read into it the more I think you're making it up. The reasons for doing so are your own business, and I'm sorry for your hardship but I'm steugglijg to believe your story.
I've seen denied boarding due to over booking once in three years working in behalf of easy. This was n a UK-Spain flight mid-Summer. One and only time I've had to stop one person flying. I was devastated for the guy but he was last to check in (online).
