The only potential market for flights from Coventry would be British bucket and spade resorts. Butlins and Pontins are well supported by coach and rail. So Coventry to Blackpool it is. There is many aircraft all ready parked at Coventry that could be used. No need to extend the runway or build a terminal. Couple of surplus bus shelters would do. The money would pour in. Sir Peter could retire on the profits and would not need the gateway project. I could see both Birmingham and East Midland airports closing due to lack of demand as Coventry expands. It would also bring many jobs back to Coventry and Birmingham supplying the buckets, spades and other vital items required to supply this market. Coventry would also need to expand as a cargo airport, shipping back all the postcards from the many holidaymakers.
