Talking Ryanair line up more Boeings!

January 29, 2003

Ryanair said today that it expected passenger growth in 2004 and 2005 to be faster than its existing target of 25% year on year growth.

Michael O'Leary, Ryanair's Chief Executive, said the airline was also in talks with US-based aerospace giant Boeing about ordering more aircraft above its current order of 100 737s with a further option on another 50.

'We are talking to Boeing about speeding up orders and in fact taking in more aircraft,' O'Leary said.
Earlier this month, Ryanair reported that passenger growth had surged by 64% in December year on year.

Earlier today Ryanair said it was starting five new routes from London Stansted to Reims and Pau in France, Haugesund in Norway, Maastricht in the Netherlands and Dusseldorf (Niederrhein) in Germany.

The new routes will commence on April 30. Ryanair now serves 49 destinations across Europe to London.
