Fantom, more information on what you think a critical engine is and why counter rotating props don't make a difference.
Could have been phrased better, but he is referring to the fact that that C/R props result in there no longer being a critical engine (i.e. no difference whichever one fails), not that they don't make a difference to whether there is or isn't one !
