Regardless of whether the Gateway development goes ahead or not Coventry will always remain an aerodrome and not an airport. Surely if there are plans to extend the runway or develop the airfield it would be part of the planning proposal that has been submitted.
Why would any airline look at CVT when there is spare capacity at both BHX and EMA with established passenger facilities, rail and road links etc etc.
