ADM, you clearly know little about the BALPA led campaign within FR a number of years ago, or you possibly choose to grab distorted facts from a union representative from the time. It was quite frankly a disaster and completely underestimated what the challenge actually was. You can't point the stick solely at the pilots on that one. What's on offer now bares no resemblance to it.
Stop comparing BALPA campaigns in EZY to those in FR. Oranges to apples without the pun intended. BALPA didn't have a snowcones chance in hell fighting FR alone. For one, BALPA barely touched on the contractor issue, which is huge in Ryanair; around a 3:1 ratio. Secondly it hadn't a
clue what to do for contingency when the management started playing games with potential base closures, upgrade and transfer freezes and roster pattern distruption. It wasn't tackling the real issues that management were able to effortlessly hide behind.
