Not quite the same, I know, but...
In Autumn 1959 my employers had one Hermes 4a on time charter ( until due for major overhaul or for several months ?). We had no use for this extra aircraft, as there little work around.
Head Office had calculated that if we did 336 T/O and Landings they could end the contract.
The aircraft was based at Manston, with its long un-busy runway. I was told that more than a dozen flights were made per hour, although some may have been " Touch and Goes", making a total of some 115 on the first day.
I was assured by the Head Office Manager that they were "Not all Idiots..."
(The subsequent days were cancelled, by Head Office. And the aircraft was returned to its owner.)
