This is simply indicative of the times we live in. Any declaration of injury will help future claims against third parties should they arise. Whether it is cabin crew wanting time off for 'recovery' or finding out they have injuries later on that day that affect them or perhaps just overly cautious types who want to be checked out by doctors, they are different to most of the cockpit crew who I suspect even with cuts and bruises would refuse to deal with the hassle of a hospital but shrug it off and just head home instead.

This isn't just our industry...anyone remember last year when the neice of that high-ranking Hong Kong judge slapped a traffic policeman in the face? He crumpled down onto the floor clutching his head like a school-girl then got medical attention. Do you really think he was in that much pain or was it all done for show so that he or the police would have a stronger case? Although......
