These days you don't need the slide rule thing. Personally, I use the phone for day / date. I use the phone for alarm too. I don't use it as a stopwatch (the ADF or aircraft chronometer or iPhone will do that). That leaves the only thing for a watch to do is tell the time.
I do still like the forth GMT hand. So, I have a Wenger (Swiss Army) one that looks nice and a Luminox for my everyday one. The Luminox has baby LED's on the hands and all hour points, so its excellent at night. There are very few GMT watches.
I'd just get the one you like that's easy to read.
