Theoretically the entire UK Sky package is not available to subscribers located outside the UK for copyright reasons, as distribution rights have only been paid by the broadcasters in respect of GB and RoI.

Most of us 'have a friend who ....' bought a Sky box in UK, using a UK address, and then set the box up overseas. There are even companies that will do it. So if, for example, you lived in the Peoples' Socialist Democratic Republic of France or elsewhere where the TV is as dull as dishwater, you would probably want to have access to UK TV. Sky know that a large percentage of their audience is outside the UK.

Disclaimer : Perish the thought that I, or anyone within my circle of friends and acquaintances, would be party to such an iniquitous misdemeanour.
