I’m sorry, I thought I had it but now I’m just confused again. The way I’ve learnt it is:

Conversion angle = 0.5 x ch.long x sin (lat)

But what you’re saying is basically:

Conversion angle = 0.25 x ch.long x sin (lat)

The change of longitude is 10°, not 5°, as I see it…
