Let's keep it simple.
When downwash angle decreases due to ground effect, the total aerodynamic force vector is tilted forward.
Upwash only occurs at the leading edge.
but I have learned that it doesn't pay to try to describe the flow to pilots in
terms of bound vorticity!
Some of us understand it though.
