USB connector to do what ?
Shove in a Memory Stick ( or whatever name you use ) with data on it.
I purchased an Asus Eee Notebook for my last overseas trip, and carried all my address book and passwords (yes I know, but do you know how many numbers I have in my life - and I'm retired ? - and I do try not to access them if I'm Online ) and some document files that I knew I might need.
Couldn't have done that with an iPad, and I'm not too great a fan of dropbox or 'cloud' computing either - don't trust anyone these days.
