Thank you for your thoughts and ill conceived comment. Far from being an Apple basher I'm very happy with my new ipad and Macbook pro. I was merely commenting on the consistent changes there are in the Apple world. What was the point of changing the connector in the first place? The older one was fine. Perhaps as you have been in the IT industry a long time you could answer the question?
Shopping around Curry's yesterday I couldn't fine a single sound box that is compatible with the new Apple connector.
