Moved into Safety from RP for a couple of reasons, apart from the obvious.... first, I know the answer; you'll find most of the current Aviation video nasties on
this site... ok, it's all in German, but shouldn't stop anyone from finding them by scrolling down the page.
And second, this and the Alitalia MD11 down the page are perfect examples of where a Go-around should have been flown, and wasn't. At that stage of the approach however, it is more of an aborted landing manouvere rather than the go-arounds we all do from decision height or above. Perhaps one of the factors that these videos exist is the psychological difiiculty in aborting a landing as opposed to performing your common-or-garden go-around?
I throw that in as an open question. Certainly it's something my company emphasise in training having had some hairy encounters with the ends of runways over the years. Current wisdom in our training department states that you are not to be committed to the landing until the reversers are cracked...
