A somatogravic illusion is where you experience rapid acceleration in the longitudinal axis, i.e. pushing you into your seat. The hairs in your ears lean back and it feels like the nose of the a/c is way up in the air - try and have a look at some carrier accidents, when the pilots plummet nose down into the ocean to try and compensate (ouch!).
