My apologies. According to a 'well known search engine', you are entirely correct.
But I'm sort of fairly sure that within the Forrest Airport Museum, that there is a reference to that the yanks either built the hangar or perhaps paid for it? I seem to remember that the yanks saw a strategic value in the airfield being there.
(Consider though, I'd probably consumed too much camel and too many reds at the community dinner the night before??)
So next time Clinton and I call in there, I'll check.
