ATPL - Australian - "Flight Planning" 94% fail rate - petition

PETITION - FLIGHT PLANNING - ATPL - CASA

CASA blunder - 94% fail rate of 100 candidates or more for atpl flight planning - petition for CASA to remedy by granting passes in accordance with past statistical rates (and other remedies).

Please take one minute to sign linked petition for CASA to reassess

Over the past two months CASA is estimated to have failed 94% of candidates for the Flight Planning subject affecting 100 or so candidates, including active RAAF as well as bright civil commercial pilots. The usual fail rate is historically no more than 40%.

For one reason or another, CASA has made an obvious administrative error of some sort, but in typical bureaucratic fashion is unwilling to volunteer an admission of error, yet alone a remedy.

All Australian pilots are invited to consider, this could have been you. CASA needs to consult more transparently with the aviation community. This is an example of the failure of CASA to do so. The failure has resulted in thousands of dollars of expense to many candidates (costs of attending courses, sacrificing salary and loss of future earnings).

Please support your fellow aviators by signing the linked petition.
