I totally agree with your sentiments regarding the ab initio process.It is the chance of a life time,some of us just want to fly,salaries should not be prioritized over an opportunity to achieve one's dreams.Raising that 5.4 milliion is no easy task,infact next to impossible for the average citizen,no bank gives you that kind of money without colossal collateral requirements.Fact is, for those who are genuinely passionate about becoming pilots,ab initio is light at the end of the tunnel,a career as an airline pilot is very alluring and rewarding.Only a fool or an entitled person would throw away such a wonderful opportunity.
