May I ask what it was about the sim training that was daunting?
The learning curve was just too steep for me to keep up. You're learning something new just about every day in the sim and if you haven't got the hang of what you did yesterday, you'll struggle today with the new stuff on top. You have to be two or three steps ahead of everything, otherwise you just fall behind. I had a few good sim runs, where I felt I was on top of it, but even then I was making silly mistakes with the HMI (Human Machine Interface) stuff and getting phraseology wrong.
