Looks like the number of applicants is thinning rapidly, which is good for those who meet the requirements.
The age discrimination thing is interesting. I am no lawyer but can't help thinking that employment law is not applicable because no job is being advertised. If you want to give something away for free, does age discrimination law apply? I wouldn't have thought so. I think it only applies to employment and the supply of services, and this is neither.
At our gliding club, we have special reduced membership rates for under 18s, and under 25s in full time education. Is that illegal and should we charge school kids the same as everyone else? Of course, people only tend to complain about age discrimination when they are outside the age range!
