I wouldn't be nearly as pessimistic. First, many of the orders are by lessors who'll be looking to place aircraft anyway; and second, the manufacturers are well practised in shuffling order books to accommodate more urgent requirements. Given the irrational exuberance with which the NEO order book swelled after its launch, I'd hazard a guess that a few of those carriers might actually not object to having their deliveries pushed out a little. If I had to guess, I'd say 2017
Would say they think that 9 is way to many and EI will not be able to use them all.
